Soaking Beans Properly for Better Health

Think you can’t eat beans because they cause you digestive upset?

Think AGAIN! Properly prepared beans should cause you no problems at all.

All beans contain enzyme inhibitors that allow the bean to sprout when planted.  They also contain phytic acid and when this enters your gut – causes all sorts of problems from gas to upset.

There is an EASY way to prevent this!  Proper Soaking!

For most beans (Kidney, Navy, Great Northern, Pinto, etc.) simply add  1 Tbsp of Baking Soda per cup of beans to the soaking water.

For Black Beans and other Legumes add 1 Tbsp of Vinegar per cup of beans to the soaking water.

This simple trick will break down the phytic acid before it enters into your system and wrecks havoc.

Now you can enjoy Beans without the side effects!
